In 1993, Summer Beverly (Jerrika Hinton) is a newly widowed mother struggling to raise her grieving 9-year-old son, Major. One of the few things that calms the young boy is a mysterious VHS tape entitled Mr. Crocket’s World, but his obsession with this children’s show becomes worrisome. One night, Mr. Crocket (Elvis Nolasco) steps out of the television and kidnaps Major. Treated as a madwoman by the police, Summer begins an investigation to find the origins of Mr. Crocket.
