Sen. Jacky Rosen’s projected victory over Republican challenger Sam Brown in Nevada marks a key win for Democrats.
States with heavy ground games tended to perform about a percent or two better than states without them. You could argue that Rosen probably owes her victory to that ground game.
At this point another D isn’t likely to have much impact on legislation given the strong Republican majority in the senate. Maybe having another D in the senate will make a difference after 2026 which is nicr.
For now Rosen is just another piece of shit pushing Israel’s agenda and I’m disgusted this will further embolden the AIPAC to continue their intensive campaign to control American politics.
Better than any R, which would have been the alternative. Don’t be a single-issue voter. That’s what put Trump back in the WH.
Yep. Just write off Israel as a constant at this point; there are still myriad issues where a chasm separates an R or D: Ukraine, Climate Change, LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, etc.
Mind you, it disgusts me, too.
Anyone who was a single issue voter with the Israeli genocide is a fucking idiot.
Sure, it’s a big issue, but it wasn’t even in the top 10 threats to our country. Now, Palestine is guaranteed to be wiped off the map.
“Why won’t people support my genocide? It’s got less calories than my largest competition!”
And you people wonder why actual progressives talk about what happens when you get scratched.
“Why did progressives help to kick off an lgbt, womens and monorities rights nightmare and potential erasure”
Progressives bout to learn some serious lessons.
Jill Stein, Putin, and domestic right-wing astroturfers are clinking champagne glasses over this.
Another D means a higher likelihood that Collins, Murkowski, Curtis will get in the way of the most extreme stuff.
I want to see filibustering at every turn.
Trump wants to kill it, but McConnell wants it, but he’s also 82 and freezes in public. I’m curious to see how long this old norm will stand for.
