I’m not sure I’d want to do 45 in that thing, hell of a way to go if you got speed wobbles. I could see a use for kei vehicles in downtown areas. Traffic is so bad that a car’s top speed might be 30 if you are lucky. Mass transit, bikes and tiny vehicles are what most people could easily get away with day to day.

Iran and Russia used to be helping them, but Iran is in a shadow war with Israel and Russia is in a war with Ukraine + western allies. Their funding and personnel dried up.

Plus, the Syrian rebels banded together. Without Russian air support and airstrikes around the capital, and without iranian arms, their regime collapsed and ran to Russia like a bitch.

Will Syria be better now? It’s anyone’s guess. I could see Russia and China potentially making moves on them during the rebuild process, but who knows for sure. The US will probably pull out soon once the next government is formed in January. It could be up to the Syrian rebels and Syrian people, but their country infrastructure is pretty blown apart, so they will need outside capital and expertise to rebuild.

I don’t think violence will necessarily be contained to Democrats and old style Republicans. The new right likes corruption, which includes POS health insurance companies.

Odwalla was a fruit juice company that later went bankrupt during the pandemic. But in the early 2000s, they had a juice flavor called rocket juice that was insanely good. Some mix of berries and fruits. Naked Juice and Bolthouse Farms aren’t even close, which puzzles me how they managed to survive.

The recipe is probably lost to time, but I would kill to get my hands on it so that I could make it myself!

Perhaps it’s because there’s so much beyond what we will ever even be able to explore. I love seeing the soft blue glow of entire galaxies. Reminds me of the soft, early morning light when you are on a predawn flight above the clouds, and anything feels like a new adventure :)

I’d love to play Elite II, though I’m glad that the contemporary franchise is so flipping good. It’s up there in my top games of all time.

I didn’t realize Segway survived the 00s after Jobs beefed it, and their dorky scooter fell out of popularity. The new designs do look cool, hopefully class 3 with standardized parts.
