I have reached out to the Mods at r/ps5 to invite the entire mod team to help run and promote this as a parallel/backup community given the recent reddit API shenanigans and upcoming blackout.

They responded quite positively. Specifically, they said they would file it under a “strong maybe” and would forward my invite it to the rest of the mod team. They also indicated that recently a growing number of redditors have also asked them about establishing a backup community.

I believe if we show that interest is growing, they will be more likely to promote this lemmy community within the r/PS5 subreddit. Additionally, please go out and tell your fellow r/ps5 community that we exist and we eagerly await them during the upcoming reddit blackout, and beyond!
