Another question… What’s the difference between the “boost” button and an upvote?

My understanding through the discussion about swapping boost and favorite for “likes” in KBin is this:
Upvote is often actually an implementation of “favoriting” across the fediverse. It has a small impact on the visibility and broadcasting of content across the fediverse.
Boosting content has the intent of significantly impacting the visibility and broadcasting of content across the fediverse.
Think of liking vs retweeting.
