Welcome smashers!

This place is pretty empty right now, but I’d love it to be a welcoming community of Smash players. To that end, what kind of posts do you want to see when you come here? Memes, combo videos, discussions, or something else? Let’s discuss it and build the community we want to see.

I’d also love feedback on the rules. Are there any missing? Is the language clear enough? Let me know.

I shall investigate whether there are tags. If not, we can use keywords in the title, e.g [Meme], [Clip], and so on.

I agree that regulating self-promotion is probably a good idea. Some limited self promotion could be good for the sub though; I don’t want to stop people posting a good video or whatever just because they’ve made it. I’m inclined to take a wait and see approach: start with less regulation, then add it later if/when it becomes clear what exactly should be regulated.

100% agree with everything you said! You should add the keywords thing in the rules or make a pinned post though.

Changing subject, do you happen to know if there’s a way to export clips for smash on the sd card? I do not have online. Is that the only way?

If you’ve converted it to a video and it’s on your SD card, I think you can connect the SD card to your computer and copy it over! Without online, I don’t think there’s a way to do it without taking the SD card out though.

I think so! I think if videos were supported as a general thing then it would easily put too big of a strain on servers.

Whatever service you feel comfortable with will work just fine I reckon. If you’re really into the federated thing though, then you could check out PeerTube! I haven’t used it yet except to watch one or two videos, but it seems pretty cool.
