I don’t like it as I can run the base game in 1080p on ultra with my 3060. I don’t think that this (what essentially amounts to a DLC in my opinion) is worth a requirements boost, especially when this is the only planned expansion. From a development perspective, it makes no sense unless it is to cover up sloppy optimisation.
Unfortunately I think cdpr has a history of poor optimization. I remember having witcher 3 with graphics patches and maxed out and it ran like no problem. This was with mods. Then they released the next gen update, which imo looked about the exact same compared to my modded version, and it ran at 1/8th the FPS. Shortly thereafter they released a performance patch and it was better but still never the same.

I never played Witcher 3 (its on the backlog ok 😅). I typed in “witcher 3 performance” into whoogle and just… yikes. What are they doing?
