I don’t know if this is the right place, but when I’m browsing on the app for new communities to join every now and then some obviously nsfw context pops up not marked nsfw making it awkward to browse in the public

Does anyone know if I’m missing something?

The NSFW tag must be selected by the user, if they forget or purposely ignore it, the post is left untagged.

I don’t know if moderators can manually tag the content or if the post must be removed and recreated.

I set up a community, and I see this when I try to edit the sidebar:

I would assume that if I ticked that box, the entire sub would be marked as NSFW. But I’ve not tried it.

I generally don’t mind NSFW content but I have it turned off myself so I can scroll wherever and it not matter, but I’m finding some communities pop up in All with nudes anyway. It must be an error on the community’s part to not have their community labeled correctly.

As a workaround, I’ve blocked those communities that are mislabeled. Kind of a pita, but works.

Do you know if there is a way to do this in Mlem? I’m not a huge fan of constantly using my browser

Sorry, no. Although I use Mlem, there is quite a bit of functionality it doesn’t have yet that I still use the web version on iOS to access.
