Anyone else dreading the January 1st? Tom will be taking a pause from posting his weekly videos after 10 year non-stop streak. I’m really gonna miss those informative videos.
He completely deserves it. Between his first channel, Technical Difficulties (Citation Needed / One of those people are lying), the Plus Channel, Lateral… he has done a LOT of things. I’m sad , but also I can’t wait to see what will he do before the pause.
I’m not worried, we’re going to be fine.
I hope the break can help him find himself a bit and that he will return in time.
Sometimes a guy just needs to get away from the routine, the stress, and the grind. Stay away too long and then you start to miss doing it. I feel like Tom is the kinda guy who cant sit still. Hes got the urge to create and teach.
I suspect my RSS feed will be oddly empty at jan 1st.

Jokes aside, it’s a bit of a shame, but it’s not like he’s gone forever, he’s just taking a (very well deserved) break. And if i may speak for most if not all of us, we’ll be waiting for his return!
Yeah, it’ll be odd not having weekly Tom Scott anymore. But after 10 years of weekly videos, few could be more deserving of a break. I wonder how long it will be

Ah whaddya know this is already a trending community. I guess that’s the benefit of being on a smaller instance!
The algorithm for
Trending communitiesis weird, possibly broken. It puts all newly created communities there and since the instance is smaller, they don’t get created every few hours, so it can stay there for a bit.
