No, I found work that doesn’t suck. But I used to. Key is a job you can tolerate
Seconded. I’m lucky enough to have found a job I actually like. Sure, I’d like to have a day off, but I no longer feel the dread about the weekend ending and I had to go to abjob that was killing me mentally.
What is “Sunday gloom?” Just being gloomy on Sundays? After about 5 pm, I get sad because then suddenly it’s no different from the time off after work and I have work to look forward to the next day. Does that count?
Work remotely. We switched to in-office Mondays and no matter how much I embrace the work-life balance that I’m fortunate to have, Mondays are brutal. In fact, that’s why I’m up at 5am dreading it (:
In my case, I moved to a sunny location so that this effect is greatly reduced (was horrible when it was pitch dark at 5pm)
Sunday is my “reset day”, meaning I have certain things I usually do to start the next week with a “clean slate”. This includes cleaning the house (or at least the kitchen, which is usually the messiest room), shaving (I rarely need to shave during the week) and looking over my financial situation to make sure any bills will be paid etc. When I have done this it gives me great peace of mind, and I feel ready to start a new week with as few worries as possible. I also have a job I like now, which also helps.

Seems like an interesting option!
