I told my friend that my son said he wanted to go to San fransisco for college and he got very serious and told me that San fransisco is like a war zone and very very dangerous. I reminded him that I was just there 3 months ago and it was not on fire.
It’s really ridiculous the concepts some people hold. I personally don’t really enjoy SF very much but it’s just another place with too much money in too few hands and not enough soul, not the 5th circle of Hell.
However I will make an exception and I will be there in September 2024 so I can be part of history.

Oh, that was a snarky Star Trek joke. In their future timeline, the Bell Riots took place in SF September 2024. It was brutally suppressed but the future history looks back at it as a turning point where humanity decided to fix major social problems instead of ignoring them. Wouldn’t it be nice?

Is this community meant to only be solarpunk memes? If so, it isn’t apparent from the name or the community info tab.
Not exclusively, but I was also wondering a bit why this meme was posted here specifically. I mean… ok it does have an urbanism spin to it, but it seems a bit overly specific to be honest.
However in general any community on this server is (with one exception: the Vietnam community that will hopefully migrate somewhere else at some point) is supposed to be at least somewhat related to Solarpunk.
