Critics of the law, House Bill 900, have warned it is too broad and that it could ban literary classics as well as restrict students' access to books with LGBTQ+ characters.
Wow, I had no idea the bill makes booksellers responsible for reviewing the books or risk not being able to sell to school districts. That’s completely absurd. Typical GOP, only business friendly when it suits their interests.
Not to give them any ideas but it seems like the only way around this is to create a division that handles the reviewing for the state. At some point, they realize they can’t keep up with the requests and so they turn to AI to review books. Then authors get creative to bypass the ai model and the state creates another silly law.
