We have a few lurkers and subscribers, what have you all been playing? Whether you’ve only had the chance to play the starter decks or jamming some jank at your local store share your experience with the game! Or just say hi.

I updated the sidebar, changing the database link from sw-unlimited-db.com to swudb.com. I initially liked the layout of the former, but the later has a bit more functionality in the search and is much more popular. SWUDB also is used for Karabast.net for deck building which has also been added to the sidebar. Karabast is a great resource for deck testing and fun. It’s basically open beta as there are bugs with some interactions, heavy action economy sometimes glitches and I’ve seen a unit die with a shield when the shield should have just popped, but the devs seem really engaged and are working on those issues.

If general discussion actually generates some conversations I’ll make a monthly thread and pin it. I don’t think pinned threads appear in feeds so for the time being I will hold off on that for visibility.

Just very recently started playing the game and am having a lot of fun with it. Since I left reddit over a year ago, it’s a little disappointing to not have a place to discuss the game in, so I’m very happy to have found this community. Hopefully it’ll get somewhere in the future. :)

Welcome, glad you found the community. I’ll put some effort back into posting content and we’ll see if we can get some discussion going.

I just got to play my Lando Aggression last night and it is the first aggro deck that I have really enjoyed. So fast it goes under Sabine. I’ve also been messing around with Vader Vigilance again with some spicy Bravado to really maximize his flip turn.

      What have you been playing?

I’m afraid I know barely any of the cards you mention - I’ll check up on those. Does you Lando stack up to Leia? Only aggro deck I know

As mentioned in my post, the Jabba Yellow deck is the only one I have and the only one I’ve played with so far apart from the starter decks. My buddy has a Luke Yellow deck which seems to be really good, but he’s also been very lucky with pulls, pulling two Mandos, a 40€ Luke unit in alternate art and a couple others before even touching his wallet for singles purchases lol. He’s won our last weekly play tournament at our LGS with it

I beat Leia last night. Both games were over on turn 4.

Jabba is a leader I have been trying to Crack, but it’s rough. To use his leader action you end up behind in the action economy losing initiative, and you can’t go too heavy on the capture gameplan because ideally they are just tempo plays to slow your opponent down. So you need some early threats in order to make the tempo worth it. It just ends up being a lot of things to consider in deck building and play lines and I haven’t been able to get satisfactory results. And I say that as someone that enjoys tier 3 type decks and jank.

I obviously don’t have much to compare him to, but I’ve also noticed that I can’t always afford to spend an action for his ability. It’s cool when I’m going second and can tempo out that 3 drop that costs 1 less if an enemy unit has a bounty and the combo of his flipped ETB plus that 7 drop that steals captured cards is nuts, but it doesn’t work all the time.

I did feel like the captures aren’t that bad though since removal is so sparse in the game in general. Sure, it’s just temporary removal, but if I manage to capture with a space unit, my opponents often didn’t have anything to get their unit back for some time.

I’ll make a decklist and post it here - maybe you have some additional thoughts and ideas.
