There are at least five apps that I know of currently in development for iOS. Unfortunately neither Memmy nor Mlem able to connect to kbin at the moment, something to do with the kbin-specific API from what @ernest, @BrooklynMan, and @gkd have said. Kmoon is specifically being developed for kbin and is multi-platform for iOS and Android (no TestFlight betas on that just yet):
Artemis (Kmoon): https://kbin.social/m/ArtemisApp
Memmy: https://kbin.social/m/memmy@lemmy.ml
Mlem: https://kbin.social/m/mlemapp@lemmy.ml
Morpha: https://kbin.social/m/morpha@vlemmy.net
Thunder: https://kbin.social/m/thunder_app@lemmy.world
Lemur: https://kbin.social/m/programming@beehaw.org/t/58630/I-am-working-on-a-new-lemmy-app-for-iOS
P.S. I don’t use Android but have seen Jerboa mentioned quite often: https://kbin.social/m/jerboa@lemmy.ml
I long for a kbin iOS app like Apollo. One can dream.
Shameless self promotion of the page I just published earlier today including this information (along with other stuff). However, I didn’t have Kmoon, so I will add that!
I love how the first post on kmoon magazine is to join their discord. Ummmmmmm … what?
@Jarmer To be fair Discord is excellent for dev community coordination
Is there some documentation on how to use the API? I understand the endpoint is at https//kbin.social/api but hitting https//kbin.social/api/magazines gives a 503.
@m3enzo You’d have to check with @ernest he did mention yesterday that “It’s possible that we’ll soon abandon the current API and integrate with one of the existing ones. I’m currently looking for the best solution.”. @hariette who is the Kmoon dev is also on standby I believe for that same reason at the moment.
Thank you, I’ll waiting for @ernest.
I am completely willing to work with whatever API gets put forth. I wasn’t actually aware of this until reading your comment, so that would put me on standby as well until I hear back. It is certainly something that I am willing to do and support, just need to green light. @ernest
Awesome! :)
Why did you link to thunders unofficial store page instead of it’s GitHub or Lemmy community?
Yep, here’s the lemmy community and here’s the github repo @frasassi
