I just found my childhood Gameboy pocket, opened it up, cleaned it up (it was a transparent case so definitely needed it). Have started replaying Pokémon red and having so much fun with it. The joy of hearing that power up sound.
A lot of old games don’t hold up and I don’t know if it’s just the nostalgia but some of these Gameboy games still stand up

Honestly I think a lot of them hold up really well. They were held back by the hardware of their time.
