Honestly I’m shocked we haven’t had a coincidental double mass shooting, but I’m also always surprised we don’t have more assassinations? Or at least attempts. If you’re gonna do it anyway, a senator is way cooler than just shooting up a mall or something
I’m the opposite of an expert, but I believe from what I’ve read is that a lot of mass shooters tend to have more concrete “plans” about specific attacks, but something (panic, timing, etc.) has a way of convincing them to go with the simple plan of “pick crowded area and shoot people” instead of targeted attacks.
Just like that scene in It’s Always Sunny where Mac and Charlie look at each other in the restaurant, but it’s both the school shooters opening their sports bag at the prom ball
They shoot all of each other’s bullets midflight, then, with only one round left each, they shoot the guns out of each other’s hands, saving the day. The NRA hails them both as heroes
So far in September, I think we’re up to something like one every 14 hours.
Soon enough, it’ll be like Pacific Rim and we’ll have a double event at the same location
