IIRC Dark Shadows started as a more or less traditional soap opera. When they started doing the vampire stuff it got hugely popular.

Yep. I’d recommend starting with the intro of Barnabas. On most streaming sites that’s how it starts anyway. You have to find “Dark Shadows: The Beginning” if you want to watch the earlier episodes.
As far as which streaming site to watch it on, it’s available on many. You can see the list of channels on IMDb.
