I don’t really know where to start. It’s not hurting me, but I’m confused. I don’t recall doing anything different o not sure where to start looking for issues.

It boots up, shows me my drives and says “settings were reset to default values” If I go into bios, nothing looks off to me. Windows doesn’t show an issue.

I’m running Win10. I can give you all the info you want. Just need a hint as to where to start looking. Thanks

That’s a common indication that the CMOS battery is dead.
If you open up the system and look around the motherboard, there should be a coin cell battery in a holder somewhere on the board. That battery keeps the BIOS powered and prevents it from losing it settings when the system is powered off. Test and replace that battery if it’s dead.

You mean POST, Power on self test. DOS hasn’t been a part of Windows since XP. And yeah replace the Knopfzelle (usually a CR2032) on your mobo. Your mobo is resetting everytime you power off cause the mobo isn’t getting any power. That’s what the battery is for.

How old is the Motherboard? Did you ever change your bios battery if its super old? Did you already reinstall windows? Did you do a bios update recently?
