For basketball I’d say Hoosiers (1986) is good. For American Football? Jerry Maguire (1996).

Yes that or Tin Cup (1996). Apparently peak year for golf movies. Legend of Baggar Vance (2000) was a few years later. There was a tiny window for mainstream golf movies.

The only other one about a real sport I’ve watched multiple times and is a sport I actually like would be The Mighty Ducks.
