Dresden Codak? Jesus. That is a comic that I haven’t thought about in so many years. Now I have to figure out where the hell I left off so I can catch up

They got a point, people often fill that hole with religion. Though i personally think it’s better to fill it with knowledge instead.

Does he also love all those babies with bone cancer? Because it sure doesn’t look like it.

First of all: I want to differentiate between Jesus amd God. Don’t blame Jesus for everything.

Secondly, Jesus did not fill the space. Science did for me much better.

You may live your religion and like it. But I don’t like it when you push your beliefs onto others.

The only reason you are a Christian is because your parents are, not because it is Truth.

Genetic fallacy. I do not have the same faith as my parents. Also, the same can be said about Atheism: you’re only atheist because you live in a secular society. If you’re in Saudi Arabia, then you won’t be an Atheist, you’ll be a Muslim. So how can Atheism be true?

I’m an atheist because I went to a Catholic school and have seen enough to know sky fairies aren’t real and it’s a pretty good scam to make money.

That’s because the Roman Church is about money and tradition. They fail to catechise.

I’d say most outspoken atheists come from religious families - same as ex-smokers are more vocal/aggressive about smoking than those who never did.

There are a load of problems with Islam and the Qur’an, but I’ll keep it concise to how the Qur’an disproves itself. The Qur’an makes these points: The Gospel is the word of allah: 3:3-4 No one can change allah’s words: 18:27 Strongly implies that the Christians had the Gospel when the Qur’an was written: 7:157 Christians should judge by the Gospel: 5:47

The Qur’an also denies the death of Jesus and His divinity, which the Bible claims. So it’s in obvious contradiction. So judging by the Gospel, Islam is false. And the Gospel cannot be corrupted as the Qur’an recommends the Gospel and claims allah’s words cannot be corrupted.

Paul also gives us this warning: Galatians 1:8

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

Considering the Qur’an apparently was revealed to Mohammed by an “angel”… Yeah…

Because these types usually think their religion is objectively true and view non believers as less than they are, here’s this person shitting on Islam for example: https://lemm.ee/post/46393021/15935358

Sadly it’s the minority of religious people that seem to be able to respect others and not use their religion as a tool of discrimination.

Generally I’m with you, I truly dislike seeing downvote trains. But here I get it. This was a misguided attempt at proselytizing, trying to pass off faith in place of understanding.
