    That is one of the stupidest designs I have seen.

    Not only does the solar panels angle mostly away from the sun, they will also be 30% covered by the rider’s body.

    The cargo capacity is tiny since you are limited by the rider’s anatomy and can’t carry oversized cargo.

    There are no pedals so the only power used to move it comes from batteries which are taking up space and weight, reducing the capacity/range even further.

    This is far, far better cargo bike:

      I don’t think they’re for charging while you sit on it. They’re for charging while the thing is parked. You may or may not be able to park them sunward. Can’t see if they can be tilted up in addition to that.

        Doesn’t change the fact that half the solar panel will be anged away from the sun at any one point.

          Just had the same feeling about this “thing” as you had. Seriously, did someone just prompt an AI with “solar bike”, went with the first generated image and called it product development done?

    The base idea has some merit IMO (solar panels charging your ebike when resting) but the photo-shop made by a three year old is so bad it’s hilarious.
