Not likely. The problem is that you can only appeal to them in person. Any appeal made through the internet or the media will miss them completely. They self isolate in the media by only watching networks that confirm their bias against literally any climate activism and online there are algorithms that do it for them. When you do appeal to them in person, they attack you as a Soros-serving, leftist, liberal and declare that everything you tell them is fake news. They won’t believe it until it affects them personally and even then they’ll try to blame liberals for it while continuing to refuse to take positive action.

Yes, what we call the speed of light is really the speed of light in a vacuum. When light passes through a medium like water or glass it travels slower. That causes the light to be refracted which means that it changes direction slightly based on the energy of the light (color) and the refractory index the material. Glass will refract a red laser by a certain amount while water will refract it by a different amount.

Fun fact, because different colors refract differently, when you shine a white light through a specially shaped piece of glass called a prism, you will see a rainbow pattern.

They fit generic pill bottles and have timer built into the top. You can look at the timer and see how long it’s been since you opened the bottle last.

I’m with you on this, however, the speed of the cop is an issue. At three times the speed limit, an approaching car would reach you much faster than you would expect it too. This girl may have glanced, seen the cop in the distance, and never realized how fast he was going. Frankly, if an emergency responder if taking an action this far outside the norm, they should also be taking great care because innocent bystanders cannot be expected to anticipate the responders actions.

They could do a hell of a lot more than that. The Constitution defines the SCOTUS and states:

In all cases affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, and those in which a state shall be party, the Supreme Court shall have original jurisdiction. In all the other cases before mentioned, the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the Congress shall make.

Congress has the power to modify the powers of the Supreme court. They could, if they had the will, take away the vast majority of the power of SCOTUS. Congress could add exceptions to the SCOTUS’ appellate powers for all matters except matters “affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, and those in which a state shall be party.” With the President’s assistance, Congress could even expand the court and alter the current majority.

They could do all this, but they won’t, and for the same reason they won’t impeach the blatantly ethically bereft members of the court. Because the Republicans are benefiting from the status quo and they will never allow the Democrats to change it as long as they have more than 40 seats in the Senate and a majority in the House.

Sadly, the evidence appears to suggest otherwise. Until the Democrats and Republicans in Congress get together and pass laws to enforce ethics rules on the SCOTUS, as they have with all other federal courts, then the members of SCOTUS are indeed above the law.

My concern is the part of the article where they talk about fracking other areas to make those areas more suitable for geothermal power generation. Assuming that their process uses the same chemical cocktail as petroleum fracking, I would not support it.

As for Google data centers, this article is not suggesting a reduced carbon footprint for Google. It about minimizing the increase in their carbon footprint. They are expanding and are going to continue expanding regardless of how their power needs are met. It is a good thing if their expansion can be powered by minimally polluting means.

I suspect a large part of the internet and the Fediverse is hosted on Google cloud services. Do you really want to shut down the data centers and hobble the internet? I would much rather we switch 100% to wind, solar, geothermal rather than ditching the internet.
