I always thought AR was a real use case for technicians, travellers, even specialty games. Hope it becomes a real thing, not just a gimmick

That describes my family. We’ve done Airbnb and VRBO, but now pretty much stick to hotels. You know what you’re getting, price is competitive, to bdint have to wash your own bedding, and a lot of hotel workers are unionized. That’s all in addition to the awareness that every Airbnb house could be a home for someone who needs it. I won’t be sad if the Airbnb model folds and helps the housing market regain a bit of sanity
Throwing interested people into simple encounters is 100% the best way to explain what DnD is; you can see it clicking in his imagination!
Ankylosaurus! Tail club, armor plates, what’s not to love?
Good thing we didn’t “defund the police” so taxpayers can keep paying police to violate their rights. This will continue and worsen until there is some incentive in place for police to follow the law
Could be Mossad, too! Or wind, I guess; Helicopters are death traps
I generally try not to bring it up, but I know folks that’ve resumed eating meat and we’re welcomed back with high-fives. This argues against the “preachy” argument in this thread. And people don’t get criticized the same way over eating unnutritious fast food all the time. My view is that some people feel criticized by other folks’ different life choices. When Alice to be in an out group, Betty is confronted with their own life choices.
Zach reino is a goddamn genius. This was my favorite but from that karaoke night episode. Pretty on-point animation!
Home Depot rents out gas-less mig welders surprisingly cheap. You could spend a fun 3-4 hours noodling around trying simple welding of angle iron pieces!
Fireflies. I could sit on a porch watching fireflies every night of my life
I recently picked up Cobalt Core and am enjoying the take on slay the spire with additional crew/ship interactions. So far it seems to be missing StS’s fully broken synergies that you could achieve with e.g. thin deck infinites, armor stacking, etc - which was a fun aspect for me. But the writing is fun and the challenges are varied. I only have about half of the unlocks so hopefully it’ll open up more soon
I have small kids whose sleep schedule is delicate and last change took us a week to recover from. It’s a needless, counterproductive, inherited tradition. I didn’t mind the change when it was just me, but it’s a lot of needless stress now. Also apparently, it causes accidents
Better than me! I’m the 90%, but have found myself wishing more people posted, so…
As a first-time framer, I used freecad to throw together some exact birdsmouths templates out of PETG (they look like a speed square). I don’t know if they were necessary, but having them takes a lot of stress off and the print was about an hour for 2 - one for the ridge beam, one for the wall with sheathing
I’ve been really enjoying cross-code on my potato of a laptop. Arpg with a heavy puzzle focus. Only single player, but coop would be too frustrating with the platforming elements
Fields of mistria, early access farming sim that borrows heavily from stardew but has been the only one I’ve really enjoyed since stardew. Worth a look if you’ve got that cozy itch. Good npc dialogue, less grindy feeling
