4·15 days agoI’ll admit I don’t know how Lemmy works in communicating to each other. However, Internet traffic is labeled in some manner. It has to be to ensure data traverses the web of routers we call the Internet. Lemmy instances have to identify each other to share their information to each other.
Just ban whatever traffic Lemmy instances are looking for.
All of these comments and not a single shout-out to the original StarCraft manual. Back stories and histories of the three races that culminated in their eventual discovery of each other.

101·1 month agoWhen applying to a US government position with a certain security clearance, they will do background checks of you, your family and extended family, if need be.
And I’m sure that can be the case for any employer who needs background checks. That being said, I also suspect some of these people in the database are dead.
I dunno. Where are these Christian groups going to shop besides Walmart? We know they can’t afford anywhere else and if they could, they wouldn’t be shopping at Walmart.
Yeah but how many have mandated RTO hours? I know Amazon is demanding two-hour minimums for their office workers. A far cry from fulltime but not exactly commuter friendly.
Did you read the article? They only said that the process to vote went smoothly, despite all the stations having only one machine for 800 voters, causing long wait times and delays. They don’t mention anything about third party confirmation of the vote tallies, no references to exit polls, and a huge section dedicated to US interference.
Might as well say “Far left organization supports supposedly far left authoritarian governments word without verification.”
I have. I’ve lived in HOAs where utilities, gardening/lawn care, parking lot upkeep, trash/recycling, community center, were taken care of by the HOA.
You only hear about bad HOAs because people in those HOAs only care about property values from aesthetics. In reality, a good HOA is like a properly run union - taking care of its members by providing cheaper, common services via collective bargaining.

I would question the motives of these red states. Sounds more like an excuse to weaken social programs vs actual divestments against an adversary.

The Beaver, Dartmouth, and Eleanor were moored at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston. It is at this location where the December 16, 1773 destruction of the tea occurred. The original location of the Boston Tea Party no longer exists because of extensive landfills that destroyed the location. This was caused by the city of Boston’s rapid expansion in the 19th century. In 18th century Boston, Griffin’s Wharf was a bustling center for maritime commerce and shipping. The exact location of the original Griffin’s Wharf is open to debate, but the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, located on the Congress Street Bridge, is located near the approximate area where the Boston Tea Party took place. A historical marker commemorating the Boston Tea Party stands on the corner of Congress and Purchase streets.
It’s Walmart. They are one of the scummiest around. They nickel and dime everything and everyone.
Article doesn’t come up for me. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the brainchild of those farts in the Trump administration who thought the virus would kill off Democrat voters and were happy to see response slowed.
Unflavored and by itself, it’s meh. But flavored and/or mixed in with yogurt drinks or calpico, it’s dangerous.
4·3 months agoI generally try to find things that make me laugh if I get to this point. I look up old Whose Line episodes or moments, Improv-a-ganza, and recently Dropout shows like Game Changer and Dirty Laundry.
It feels like whoever made this only sees those large suburban sprawls in the South West of the US where it’s all flat desert. Or the suburbs built on large tracts of farmland that had trees taken down many years before for crops.
Housing development is expensive when you have to cut down and uproot large tracts of forest. They’re not willing to do that unless there is a high rate of return… Such as an apartment building with a hundred tenants.
