The funny thing is that almost all anime is made for the Japanese market only. They do not see any overseas sales as legitimate business that makes them money. Its why we get pedo shit and incest stuff that normally would not fly in most other markets. They are not making it for anyone other than the freaks in Japan that love that stuff. Video games and even more so MMORPGs are affected heavily by this. One of the big events right now in FFXIV is for Yokai Watch. The reason why is at one point it was beating Pokemon in most target demographics. Its almost unknown outside of Japan and just shows you how insular they still are when it comes to media.
The 90s for me is considered the “golden age” because of the actors involved in the English dubbing scene and one company in particular which left a gaping hole in the industry. That was the fall of AVD Films. I will always remember ADV for bringing me Sailor Moon Uncut and I still have the sets in a box somewhere.
Oh boy, do you know about the meme for Utah Mormon names?
Utah is the second highest consumer of cosmetic surgery in the United States. They call it “The Utah Look.” In case you wanted to know why this lady’s tits are so big.
People that make systems like these are not scared of those that stop using em. What they fear is getting information wrong or spam. Using these facts you can then adjust to the changes.
A question that begs for a hot take. I love it! Manjaro has always made zero sense to me. The power of Arch is in its rolling release cycle and your ability to customize it from the ground up. Both of which you lose when you downloads someone mix of Arch. It always seemed like a flavor for people who want to run Arch but just don’t have the ability to read the documentation to actually run it.
Thanks for letting me know. I just signed up now.
If you are looking for an action anime it’s not too bad. It’s not as good as the source material or FMA 2003 by far to me at least.
EDIT: it’s because FMA:B is a show about humans vs monsters vs gods and that is about it. There is nothing more than the action of that interplay. FMA 2003 asks a question of each person in the show. “What does it mean to be human?” It even asks this question of the homunculus. It’s what makes it the deeper show to me full of nuance. Plus it has one of the best duets made in anime history. I can’t read those lyrics without crying.
