  • They were all made in clay-rich sandstone, which preserved the tracks so well that they have impressions of the scales on the skin of these dinosaurs.

Oooo so we know for sure what the scale shapes are? Fascinating! Where is dino science on feathers currently? Did some dinosaurs resemble birds more than lizards? Sorry I’m late. Be wild if we had such impressions of feathers somewhere

  • love NGE. So weird. But wonderful too

I’ve tried cowboy bebop twice. About five episodes. I know something is wrong with me. Next time I get sick I’ll try again.

    Never heard of Berserk

Read some of hxh in shonen jump. Wow. Totally forgot I bought like a dozen of those over a decade ago. It seemed a little silly with the power levels of it’s the one i remember. I actually tried the show but lost interest when they were in a big tournament and started discovering they had like powers? Or that they could power up? Felt goofy. Should I stick it out?

Ghost in the shell - been meaning to check this out

Akira? The live action big eyed thing? I don’t remember hating that movie. But I don’t remember much at all it

Studio Ghilbi is fun. I really wish I saw my neighbor Totoro before I was a grown ass man so I felt the magic more lol. I actually haven’t seen anything others but they have rave reviews. Occasionally my local theater shows the films and I’ve been trying to see the wolf howling castle or whatever it’s called

    Yeah - Context matters.

Is Kill la kill the one my friend watches with the talking clothes? Cause I can’t, my dude. Hahaha

Forgot to mention I enjoyed AOT. Saw one punch but thought it was too meta for me. My friend said it’s good because it plays on tropes. But idk. Sucks cause I LOVE that artist. He drew a series called Eyeshield 21 about a Japanese (American) football team. It was funny as hell but my goodness, that art is incredible. Yusuke Murata

Ugh I’m gonna post some. It’s just so gah damn beautiful

    What were we talking about

  • It’s like… I feel like I have to look up if there’s any weird stuff before I can get into any of it. Like I love fma (brotherhood ftw) and really enjoyed Death Note and some Netflix shows. But I couldn’t finish sword art online. I should have known when an early episode introduced a little girl voice trope character… Who was almost immediately attacked by tentacles.

Sex stuff doesn’t bother me (laughed my ass off at the wild food war competition show) but the kid stuff is fucking weird. And it’s common enough that I stick to other media mostly

  • Yeah. I think we take our easy navigation for granted sometimes. Like… I can get most information pretty quickly and not have a lot of trouble discerning what I need to do to get that information.

But not everyone is as “natural” at surfing. Maybe they have trouble putting things in perspective, they don’t know how to use a tool like Wikipedia, or even - maybe they just don’t like researching.

I’m so glad we have people that are great at keeping up with everything. But we have to remember that presenting and teaching information accurately and helpfully is a skill that we need desperately.

  • Polling guru Nate Silver and his election prediction model gave Donald Trump a 63.8% chance of winning the electoral college in an update to his latest election forecast on Sunday, after a NYT-Siena College poll found Donald Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris by 1 percentage point.

He’s just a guy analizing the polls. The source is Fox News. He mentions in the article that tomorrow’s debate could make that poll not matter.

Should you trust Nate or polls? They’re fun but… Who is answering these polls? Who wants to answer them before even October?

So yeah take it seriously that a poll found that a lot of support for Trump exists. But it’s just a moment of time for whoever they polled. Tomorrow’s response will be a much better indication of any momentum.

  • The CWA, which represents the striking AT&T workers, says its members are looking for a contract that delivers increased wages and benefits, including more for healthcare, and claims the company violated the National Labor Relations Act by not bargaining in good faith to come up with a contract that addresses these demands.

The Dallas-based telecom giant denies the claim.

“We’re disappointed that union leaders would call for a strike at this point in the negotiations rather than directing their energies toward constructive discussions at the bargaining table. This action needlessly jeopardizes the wages and well-being of our employees,” an AT&T spokesperson said in an emailed statement.

CWA Local 3204 in Atlanta President Ed Barlow says the lack of bargaining is the direct cause of the strike.

“If the company doesn’t want to send the right representative to the table, our members are prepared to stay out and strike as long as we have to to get the company to do the right thing at the bargaining table,” Barlow said.

“We appreciate the mediator’s efforts. Our message to AT&T is: no more excuses. It’s time to get serious about bargaining so we can get back to work serving our customers,” CWA District 3 Vice President Richard Honeycutt said in a press release.

AT&T doesn’t want to treat their workers fairly. Therefore they care less about the customer and more about profit

  • “You know, Germany, look, they put themselves into a position in Adolf Hitler’s chiefly responsible for this, but his whole regime is responsible for it, that when they went into the east in 1941, they launched a war where they were completely unprepared to deal with the millions and millions of prisoners of war, of local political prisoners, and so forth that they were going to have to handle,” Holocaust,”  asserted Cooper. “They went in with no plan for that and they just threw these people into camps. And millions of people ended up dead there.”

They just ended up dead at the local campground. It’s really sad guys. Germany was as shocked as you. It’s mostly Adolf’s fault… Germany was really overwhelmed with the campground-filling war; ignoring her horrified friends while she shoves a few annoying space-taking Jews in the special Happy Happy joy time shower.
