If this is your first total war experience, then I can see why you like it, but Troy is by far and away NOT the best of the total war games. Honestly, the further back you go, the better they are. Shogun 2 and Medieval 2 are absolutely fantastic games, with deeper mechanics than many of the more modern ones.

Good luck. I did Catholic school from kindergarten all the way through high school with ‘religion’ classes every semester. I wouldn’t say my knowledge of the Bible is encyclopedic, but I do think it’s better than the average Christian. The more I learned of the Bible, the more I hated Christianity but not really because of what was in the Bible. The Old Testament is on another level, but most modern Christians claim to forgo that part in favor of the New Testament and Jesus’s teachings. The biblical representation of Jesus was an awesome dude, and he would despise what the Catholic church has become. He’d be all up in those mega churches whipping people left and right lol.

However, my main point in this comment is to say good luck, because the people you will be arguing against will be much less informed than you are but will believe they know everything and they WILL NOT argue with you in good faith.

I’ve played about 70% of my 20ish hours so far on Steam deck, and honestly, it’s awesome. Controls work out of the box since release. I don’t really care all that much about graphics, and they’re passable on the deck. I can imagine it’s probably really bad if you dock it and play on the big screen, but handheld it’s perfectly fine and very convenient. Drains battery like a mf, though.

So far, the class I had the most fun with was artificer. There was so much room for creativity, even though I was a half caster. The class features were just so great for anything out of Combat. Also, tanking was super fun, I made my whole gear load out magic so my AC was super high. Then I would just cast blur on myself and run head first in to the fight.

Idk if we’re on the topic of 3rd party content, but I’m currently playing a changeling illrigger, which is an MCDM class. It’s ridiculously fun. The way that changeling and the shadowmaster subclass synergize with each other is awesome.

Not even just if you want to learn chess but he makes watching chess fun, his recaps of tournaments are fantastic for beginner chess players.
