Fun story: Facebook just decided my mom violated their policies because she was actually 13 years old. When this happened she was not able to prove her age and also she lost all her games and files from her Quest due to the accounts being tied together.

@alyaza Hi there. I am also another person seeking an alternative to Reddit. I had been looking at the Fediverse from a distance for a bit but never jumped on board until now. The thought of a megacorporation ruining my user experience for the sake of their pocketbooks was enough for me.
I’m still fumbling around trying to figure things out but I’m having a good time so far.
I look forward to this little digital adventure.
