3·3 days agoBefore password managers I used to come up with a phrase or nonsense word that was personally significant to me, or an inside joke. Some sort of “catch phrase” that would only make sense to me and maybe my closest friends. Sometimes just an initialism of something I’d know, like my ex-gf Angie (not her real name) had a gap in her teeth, so I’d tell my friends “Angie’s got a gap in her teeth so my dick’s gots to fit!” and so my password would be “Agagihtsmdg2f!”

Less than 20 years is pretty recently. I have t-shirts older than the new use of “goon.”
Up until very recently, “goon” meant something different and had no sexual connotation whatsoever. I’m still a little hazy on what “goon” has turned into, and why.
Racists and other scumbags see this as an absolute win.

12·21 days agotrump & other republicans see what putin has in Russia and they want that here for themselves. They do not care about Americans or the constitution. They care about money and power, and will kill Americans and the constitution to get it.
We’re so fucked. It’s not even safe to be a rational, intelligent person in the USA anymore. This country is being taken over by imbeciles.

I’m an American. I hate and oppose trump with every fiber of my being. I am ashamed to live here. I feel like I’m trapped, surrounded by idiots. I can’t afford to uproot my family and move out.
I don’t want to come to lemmy and be insulted, just because I’m in a country where too many people made the wrong choice.
The USA still has good people. Anti-fascist, anti-trump, anti-ignorance/cruelty/racism/hate.
We didn’t all insult all Russians of the acts of Putin. Why insult us?
Voter intimidation is a crime.
The power button really isn’t that important anymore. Leave it on, let it sleep. Tap a key on the keyboard and the thing wakes up. Even after a power outage, it’ll power itself back on.
