That’s because people were going on with high expectations, right? I haven’t seen it (yet?) but Morbius and Madame Web both got C+ and I’d be surprised if it’s actually worse than those. Although I’d be more interested if it really is that much of a trainwreck tbh, I liked the first movie well enough but didn’t think it needed a sequel, I was just going to pirate it next time I was bored at work.

Candle & Crow, book 3 in the Ink & Sigil series by Kevin Hearne came out today, I’m looking forward to getting into it. It’s set in the same world as the Iron Druid Chronicles, but isn’t really related outside of a couple of old characters popping up IIRC. I don’t think I even knew about this until I saw it on a list of upcoming releases last week.
I’m also reading through Swifts and Us by Sarah Gibson, which is a book my gf got for me last Christmas and only just got around to handing over 9 months later. It’s a non-fiction book about my favourite bird, nothing to do with pop singers.

I finally managed to get into Breath of the Wild the other night after getting it on launch day and never enjoying it. I played 9 hours solid, then had to go to work for a few days, so I’m looking forward to going home more than usual.
Other than that, there’s the seemingly endless hunt for my last 3 Monster Hunter World achievements (only ~480 hours in, so I’m doing ok). Also, I’ve finally got around to trying Suicide Squad, and I kinda dig it so far. Just gotta clear my plate a bit for the PC release of FF16 in a few weeks, but I can almost guarantee I’ll be too stuck into either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom to play it.
I didn’t know they were doing videos, that’s interesting. When podcasts do that, I always go for the audio option so I can listen while I’m working, but I might check out a few episodes on video.

I was just talking about something like this with my gf last week. I want a big bed with upturned edges (but still big enough to stretch out fully on the flat part) that I can fill with extra cushions and blankets. The image in my head was a bit nicer than a giant dog bed though…
Caravan was great back at launch on xbox, the opponents didn’t play properly and you could effortlessly clean out entire inventories of shopkeepers because they’d bet their store earnings. Then I moved to PC and it was a lot less braindead & not worth the effort, it actually knew how to use the face cards.
That perfectly describes me. I don’t touch Reddit, got off FB and Instagram years ago, never had Twitter, etc. Lemmy is the only thing I use now, I subscribe to a few dozen communities that get maybe 15 new posts a day combined. If I’m in the mood to waste time on here I’ll see the new posts and hide them as I go. When they run out I’m done for the day. I won’t act like it’s the right move for everyone, but for me personally cutting my social media (or similar) internet usage down to around half an hour a day max has made me a lot happier.
Do you listen to the Weekly Planet by any chance? I’ve never seen this before, then they mentioned it in the latest ep a few days ago and now it’s popped up.
There are definitely times when it seems like he’s had a hit of something during commercial breaks. He’s often drunk on air (and drinks during the show) so it’s certainly possible.

I was in the Summer event and came third or so for Jarvonia overall. Like a dope I stopped using Discord right after that and haven’t seen anything from the game since. Looks awesome, can’t wait to get in.
I work a minimum of 24h across a typical Saturday and Sunday to get that Tuesday off.
“After” profits tumble? We haven’t even had a chance to buy FF16 or Rebirth yet, and if they’re like Remake there’ll still be a year to wait for it to get off Epic and onto Steam. Just sell us the damn game if you want money.
I heard (no idea if it’s true because I really don’t care enough to look into it) that he made a bland and inoffensive movie because comedy is too woke and you can’t say anything any more, so there’s no point trying to be funny. I’m not sure if that being true or a joke would be sadder for him.
