- Humour, like comics and memes.
- Literature, I’m sure there are communities around genres, authors, book series…
Thanks!
I’ve been using Logitech ERGO K860 at home before this, so maybe I’ve just gotten used to the wrist rests. I’ve noticed that I lift my wrists into the air when I type on the Cantor, so I thought I needed some support. It’s actually not uncomfortable and I don’t type a lot, so I’ll take your advice and try a little longer with this setup. I’d honestly really like to avoid taking up the space on my desk, since I like to write on paper.
waht is absolutely correct, it’s Frood from 42.Keebs. Github Page
splitkb.com. They ship internationally from Netherlands, Europe. They have some really nice MBK PBT keycaps. I also ordered some cream yellow from them and those look great too.
Going to work on my thesis on Saturday, but I should have some time between experiments to practice some soldering for my personal projects. Board games and video games on Sunday, been a long week need to unwind
I was honestly hoping that they had added something later in game that makes it no longer instant death… So that isn’t happening then?
At least I have the sequel to look forward to
Blasphemous, a 2D Metroidvania game with a very distinctive art style.
So far loving the world design and level design, it reminds me strongly of Dark Souls, without feeling like a clone in any way. I do unfortunately suck at platforming, and this game is so far not forgiving about it…
That game is awesome! I loved the tutorial book system so much.
I can’t say why but this owl photo
According to its README:

Ah sorry, English is not my native language. I meant that he will love them. Getting the first one printed right now. Thanks!
This is wonderful! My bf would love them so much.
It’s a couple hours by car from where I live, so I’m probably too lazy to go…
Had a busy week. The two of us played two scenarios of Gloomhaven JotL. I changed from my initial tank character to Voidwarden, who’s got a buff/debuff and action granting/manipulation mechanic. She’s a lot more fun for me and I feel like she works a little better with my partner’s ranged character also. The last scenario was so close, we were 1 and 0 turns away from exhaustion when we won. Funnily enough we both got squeezed into a corner and surrounded by the boss’s summons so the boss couldn’t get to us.
Was really hoping to be able to play more of Aeon’s End but alas, the weekend went by really fast. Going to get an expansion for it next time I go to the shop.
We also tried out Bread & Fred, a video game of two penguins connected by a rope climbing a mountain. I was hoping it would be hard and rewarding like Celeste, but it was mostly fun and frustrating due to us constantly jumping at the wrong time and falling off… Would definitely recommend assist mode checkpoints if anyone else wants to try. It was a bit weird that they only supported the same input type for both, would have liked to use controller and let my SO use keyboard.
The Reckoner by Brandon Sanderson. Not a lot of people like the series, but I always loved it, and it seemed that so many scenes were written with a visual medium in mind already, and exaggerated in a way that would work well in an animation, not in a Live-Action production.
Progressed our Gloomhaven JotL campaign a bit, packed it up for mow. Think I’m going to change character next time we continue the game.
Played my third game of Aeon’s end, it was great, we barely won with one player left at 2 HP. It was great
Yep only 4 characters
We’re a few sessions in now, we know the rules but still often forget things. I’m still finding it difficult to evaluate my cards, both for making my deck and for playing them.
I’m finding the ‘discourage discussion’ part more of a miscommunication issue. The guide stressed about not discussing details and selecting cards at the same time, and with me having no idea about the gameplay at the time, it just sounded like forcing a specific type of scenario in game theory.
Now that we’re more or less familiar with the rules, it feels much more natural. Occasionally we do break the discussion rules though, because we really enjoy highly detailed planning, and there’s no Gloomhaven police here to confiscate the game.
Btw JotL has battle goals. Not sure about retirement goals, we each have a pack of cards that we’re not supposed to open or read about till level 5.
