I am currently reading ‘How Westminster Works’ & it’s nothing short of eye opening of the ineptness of all the politicians and the current system.
I highly recommend it.

The irony of that is I will willing spend £30-60 on #TTRPG books instead :D

I’d recommend you read ‘Weapons of Math Destruction’.
Algorithms are usually developed with the best of intentions but no one really knows how they will behave out in the wild.

I’m predominately a Mastodon user and I create lists.
So for example I have a list for ‘unitedkingdom@feddit.uk’ and when new stuff gets published to that community it populates my list :)
As a black person the reading ‘Of Mice and Men’ nowadays probably is not an enjoyable experience. (I’m not black).
For her I’d imagine hearing certain words being read out in a white dominated class is an uncomfortable experience.
It was a classic way back then…but times have changed and it no longer deserves that accolade.
But the UK/US education system has always struggled with what makes a ‘classic’. #Reading #Education #Classic
