They say it like that because people are used to being billed in kWh so it gives them a reference.
I was thinking the same thing.
If we were to actually get involved, kick it off with an A-10 singing the song of it’s people, and eliminate all russian forces in Ukraine in no greater than 24 hours.
If you’re not willing to do that then just stay home, we’ve seen how the ‘slow war’ style goes.
To accelerate a vehicle we need to put kinetic energy into it and Power is the measure of how fast we can do that.
From a technical capability standpoint, torque is a useless measure. With a motor of a given power you can always gear it up or down to whatever torque you need (assuming a lossless transmission system).
If we take two identical trucks with 10k lb trailers on them and one’s a 800ft-lb diesel and one’s a 300ft-lb gas, both with 400hp, they sould realisticly accelerate and climb a hill at the same rate. The diference is the gas engine will be screaming at 6/7/8000 rpm and guzzling gas. (This also assumes no other factors like heat cone into play, the gas may not be able to maintain as much power due to cooling system designs or other factors).
Torquey-er engines also tend to feel better from a driveability standpoint but that’s not representative of capability.
Hot take: when Russia totally disintegrates, the US should take it over and turn the whole thing into a national park.
And then as a bonus action stick a bunch of military bases right up Chinas ass.
I forget which state it is but there’s one where you can choose firing squad as your execution.
Euphoria and warmth are two really common symptoms of hypoxia.
But even then people who have dies in confined, oxygen-deficient environments, as long as they aren’t high CO2, don’t even realize anything is up until they pass out.
Or if he winds up in a trolley problem type situation.
The blue panels are poly-crystaline which are cheaper but less efficient.
Mono-crystaline cells are more efficient but more expensive and are black or nearly black.
The prompt only says the villianous plans backfire
So a prickle of picky porcupines only partook in parts of prehistoric primates? Preposterous!
For real, give me the ol’ “Hey, bud?” first and then when it’s clear I’m paying attention, then ask.
People do eat bear meat. I’m sure some just skin it and leave it but it is plenty edible.
SCOBYs (Symbiotic Cultures of Bacteria and Yeast) could have some possible applications as fake leather but I don’t know if anyone is working on it or if it could actually be made strong enough.
One example where we just do not have an equivalent is motorcycle gear. Yeah we have textile jackets, and I have one because where I am the risk of heat stroke in a leather jacket is more of a concern, but if you want abrasion resistance, leather is the best you can get. Can SCOBYs compete with that? I don’t know.
Them discarding the flower doesn’t mean they arent using the hemp part.
I would imagine they seperate those almost immediately if not the moment it’s out of the ground. If they’re using a combine to harvest it, then that probably seperates it.
10 minute drive (where I live) is typically 6-10 miles. Average walking speed is 3mph so you’re talking over 2hrs. I had to do it once on a tractor and it sucked, and that was doing 10-14mph.
There isn’t enough detail in the article to know what they mean by “pressurization” warning…is it overpressure? Underpressure? There’s a lot of things that could trigger a warning.
I seem to remember reading some planes had monitoring for basically how much makeup air was being put in to keep pressure (which tells you how much leakage there is). If I had to bet, I’d say it’s that.
I say this as someone who is interested in aviation but has no formal education in it.
I feel like that’s going to bite them in the ass.
Next time they say some lands is sacred it’ll be “Ok but you also said that about the fucking moon.”
Also, Indigenous where? Because it aint limited to NA, everybody is going to have some ancestor that worshiped the moon.
Or put the mask on then switch it to N2 without him knowing when.
