Excellent article - thank you for sharing it. I was familiar with the post Civil War “crisis” or masculinity because men weren’t “battle tested” but I wasn’t aware of the other historical echoes. At any point in history society is always on the verge of collapse because the kids are heathens and the world is evil. I do wonder about this conference in regards to mental health. I have a set of circular needles with interchangeable needles and lengths of wire/nylon. It all fits in a little case the size of a small notebook. I have a second set of sock size ones that are a bit sturdier and have steel needles instead of wood/bamboo.

100% agree. It’s so fucked that they are stomping out 3P apps. Even with greed and profit as the only motivation, financially it would have made more sense to charge reasonable API fees than die on this hill. I would happily pay for Apollo if it was necessary to keep it running.
