It’s hard to wrap my head around the idea of sending death threats, people walking around with so much hate filled up that they lash out at the most detrimental things.

It’s a corporate decision, protests (subreddits going dark) and constructive critiscm from the userbase is the only way to make the voice heard.

I’m happy that another platform (Lemmy) existed which is more suitable and designed like the old.reddit.com layout to migrate to. Otherwise this ordeal would really suck.

Had this exact problem with my cat, didn’t rage-rage (slamming desk/mouse/keyboard have never been my thing) but I became irritated and she picked up on it. Her reaction was biting my hands, which took me too long to realise that it was a form to get me off the keyboard.

I switched from PC to console/playstation and I’m more chill playing in the couch, it doesn’t get me irritated and it’s just an all around more relaxing experience, the competitive scene especially on PC can be very toxic.

Cat stopped biting me, which is a huge plus also, because that little lovely shit really can bite hard.

It’s going to take time to reposition, but for the long haul this is the best course of action, personally I’ve uninstalled and blocked - but I do miss some of the subreddits from before.

This community seems to be in its early steps, so every contribution means progress, and sooner rather than later we’ll be back to where we want to be!

The design for me I’d say is flawless, simplicity at its core. I haven’t experienced any lag, I’m on an Android/Jerboa app, what kind of lag are you experiencing and how do you reach the platform (browser/app)?
