I remember hearing in the beginning of Israel’s bombing that Israel’s strategy is actually not even to fully demolish a building but rather to partially/mostly destroy it. This is because then Gaza has to pay to fully tear down the building before building it back up. Whereas if they fully demolished it, it’d only be the buildup cost for them.
