I think people missed your sarcasm lol

Why are you feeling the need to have your protein shakes in secrecy?
An elective surgery you call it, an investment in their vision, I call it. Not everyone has vision as part of their insurance, and contacts/glasses/exams can get expensive without (or even with, depending on the policy). Viewed in that way, LASIK can definitely be seen as an investment.
The second Apple rolled out face ID, I knew this tech was ready and waiting for forced ads
No, but deciding to comment is a choice you made, not something out of your control like something appearing in your feed.
I actually mentioned that in a comment above. Reddit used to be just as bad, if not worse indeed, but that doesn’t excuse Lemmy by any means. I do hope that it’s a good indicator that Lemmy will get better with time, though.
So tangential storytime: my husband recently discovered one of these channels (not sure if it’s this one or just a similar one), and specifically this goddamned song called “I glued my balls to my butthole again.” He will. Not. Stop. Playing it. He thinks it’s fucking hilarious, especially the more I roll my eyes.
Anyway, yes these channels are a blight, something needs to be done about them, and if anyone needs a husband they can find mine on the curb blasting that song on a loop lmao
Goodness gracious, it’s almost like you’re commenting on the thread almost a day later and maybe the comments are a bit different now, as opposed to earlier.
It’s a lot like Reddit was back in the old days in that way :/
The undercurrent of misogyny is so so rampant on Lemmy, worse even than reddit was. Posts like this bring it right out. I can’t believe how many upvotes some of these red-pill-ass comments have. It’s really discouraging to see and often makes me too nervous to speak up on women’s issues here on Lemmy, lest I be absolutely brigaded.
At least the bear can’t use a keyboard and thus wouldn’t be able to try and bully me into shutting up on the internet, so there’s another instance where I’d choose a bear over a random man.
Just like internalized misogyny is very much a thing in women, internalized racism is a thing, too. It’s sort of like a poor person aligning themselves with the rich against their own interests, if that’s easier for you to visualize. All that to say, I agree with the other commenter— that cop is blue.
He wrote this for himself in his Meditations. So he wasn’t telling this to anyone but himself, therefore not ‘gaslighting’ anyone. Beyond being a roman emperor, he is also a pretty respected philosopher, and that generally doesn’t happen without having something interesting to say on the subject.
Following up with an “You’re right, I don’t know you”
Have been? It’s already done for the most part. AFAIK, there’s only one, maybe two companies still making phones with headphone jacks. Drives me up a wall, I fucking hate it.
Is it just me, or does she look GINORMOUS compared to that child? He looks at least 3, but is the relative size of my 5 month old?
Dammit, this is why you always secure your lifeline before entering the Rabbit Hole
Yes. Then later, throwing up hair balls together will be a bonding experience.
Fun fact, licking can be a sign of dominance in cats. So when they lick you while biting or wrestling, they may not be trying to make amends!
Thank you for subscribing to Cat Facts.
If you’re looking for a more schlocky horror experience, give Resident Evil 8 a try! Extremely fun to play with a story that would be kinda ‘eh’ if the performances didn’t elevate it to cult-following b-movie perfection.
Subnautica would be a good game to transition from the end of summer to the beginning of fall. Spooky atmosphere where you play (almost) entirely underwater.
Crow Country came out earlier this year and definitely capitalizes on PS1 era horror games. In that vein also, Signalis is an excellent cerebral sci-fi horror.
Libby is 100% compatible with kindle, has been for years. It’s the first prompt immediately after you check out the book; it asks if you want to read it in Libby, or have it sent to your kindle. I’d definitely recommend it, it couldn’t be more seamless.
