@BiNonBi. people saying supportive things. how refreshing. don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good. and don’t expect any people, on any topic, to always say exactly what yu’d like them to. it won’t happen. i can guarantee it.
@PlutoniumAcid i’m 64, i’ve lived in over a hundred different places, including rural and suburbs with lawns. literally never ever had this problem. not even when i owned cat! so it seems you’re cursed. you need to find the witch or wizard you offended and make amends.
i’m really amazed this would even happen, as cat prefer to bury their waste so they like places they can dig miles more than lawns. i wonder: did your u maybe see one cat, once, poop and now you think all poop is cat poop? because dogs are a lot more likely to be doing this regularly than cats.
@PlutoniumAcid a small pile of sand in a corner of yard would be preferred by most cats. other than that, as someone said above, “accept that animals shit outside.” besides, climate issues will soon make lawns go away anyway. 😢
@pooh because it was the best they could do. people don’t seem to realize how the gop has fought literally everything since long before the last 20 years, making even half assed stuff like this a hard, long slog. if we didn’t constantly have 30 pounds of mud on each shoe, we could all and even run. instead we slog and drag. when we can even more forward at all.
it’s always been ok for a private business to pick and choose. choice is nothing if you don’t have the choice to be a flaming asshole. (and i say this as a bisexual person, but one who has long followed lawyers and egalitarian stuff because it’s interesting and it sometimes directly changes the world i live in). the police union is one of the biggest scourges in this country. a private business doesn’t have to serve them either. but of course, they will whine and intimidate and do all their other bullcrap.
@Ilikecheese it’s been possible since the first year of iphone, if you jailbreak. indeed, a lot of new features iphone got over the years were first found in jailbreak tweaks and apps.
first non-jailbreak one. i was jailbroken from the first iphone days, before chris even existed. but saurik definitely upped the game.
@mishimaenjoyer given what happened with my beloved and always missed microsoft phone and their pathetic appstore, this makes me laugh. and cry. a little.
@elouboub ulysses is a solid app. depending on how things go, i can see other good apps joining. it’s weird how people who stand to benefit from a new thing like to tear it down before it’s even begun.
@DougHolland christie is just another fascist. that’s not what it was created to deal with, lol.
oh, if you just mean “it horrified me and overwhelmed me emotionally” (vs actual clinical ptsd—i’m too literal sometimes, and i don’t know how to edit or delete on kbin yet so…) then for me, that would be a number of movies, but probably the worst would be blue velvet. dennis hopper’s portrayal of a homocidal maniac was just too, too much. i wish id never watched it.
@Merlu i can’t say, but it’s possible, id think, given that to the brain, an event, a dream, a vivid daydream, and a movie are much the same. i can’t, for example, watch horror movies. if i do, i will have terrible nightmares. and i’m choose about what i watch (and read) in general, because for me, it’s like i’m living it. there are things that still evoke feeling from me 60 years later—that didn’t actually happen to me. (oh, and a lot of things did happen too, and i have ptsd, diagnosed, but i probably didn’t have it my whole life.)
@D@kbin.social age isn’t a disease. it can’t be cured. i do think we can probably extend life, but personally, i think it’s cruel to do it by harming other beings, which includes most animal trials.
@psychothumbs suck doesn’t have to destroy anything. musk is killing twitter himself.
