Started playing Magic with Portal and Mirage. Currently play off-and-on Historic and Commander.
I love collecting older cards, and I’ve put together a full Portal set cube and about 20 thematic tribal decks with cards all from 2012 and earlier.
I feel like Pauper is the healthiest most diverse format right now. If there’s anything that gets me to finally figure out installing MTGO it would be Pauper.
This is perhaps the poster-boy for an uncommon to me. Not so strong to make it a rare, and definitely way too much complexity to make it a common. No clue on earth why they would print something like this at common. I think generally if you’re printing “living weapon” on something it needs to start at uncommon but I see there are some other cards already at common with that ability.

I had no idea it was being used in Pauper, that is pretty cool. I have found Lembas to be a really good inclusion in draft decks too.
This is awesome and I will try this out next time they bring it back. I missed the midweek magic event, but they would just make historic pauper and artisan events available all the time imo.
I kept reading that first one as Golgari Frog and was very confused 😄 I think the Fog deck looks really strong. It’s a little confusing with all the 2-of copies of effects that seem very similar, not sure why they aren’t running for 4-ofs but overall it feels like a pretty powerful deck that is extremely frustrating to play against. I probably wouldn’t bring this to a local FNM but it looks competitive.
