They can disappear and bleed Israel dry though, just like in 2006. Israel cannot tolerate large losses of personnel, Hezbollah can.
As we’ve seen in Ukraine, territory isn’t what matters in war, it’s destroying your enemies resources to fight. Hezbollah will certainly follow that kind of strategy.
Nasrallah’s speeches are honestly so well written. Great overview of what’s going on yet concise, rousing, dude’s got rizz.
Nah they definitely have nukes of their own accord. Starting pretty much from day one of independence Israel pursued its own development of nuclear weapons, in collaboration with the French. They weren’t gifted nukes like the UK, and their nukes aren’t beholden to US triggers. They have their own nukes, under their own command structure, with their own warheads and missiles.
I mean Lebanon lowkey collapsed in 2019 and further devolved in 2020 after the Beirut harbour explosion. They have no functioning executive, their government is effectively non-existent, the state virtually doesn’t exist.
Well so much for my “you only get to do this trick once” bit yesterday. So we’ve got to be looking at the prelude to invasion, right? Two attacks in two days? This one with larger explosions but a smaller number of targets (way less folks seem to have walkie talkies than pagers)? I just don’t understand the calculus otherwise. What a shitshow, godspeed to the people of Lebanon.
Is this a response to Yemen’s successful missile strike? I really don’t know the angle here.
So, what do we think folks, is this a prelude to a wider Israeli operation in Lebanon or is the shock and awe the operation itself? I fail to see how this lets any of the tens of thousands of Israelis return to their “homes” in the north near the border, nor what this does to cripple Hezbollah’s continued attacks on Israeli infrastructure in the north. Is this the opening salvo of the long predicated Special Military Operation in Lebanon? A cheap tactic for Netanyahu and co to chalk up a win? Something else? This is an incredibly impressive operation, but you only get to try this trick once. Not sure why now.
Hey what book is that image from? Looks interesting, and I love Losurdo so somebody he found “common ground” with is probably a good read as well.
Yeah I mean Nvidia doesn’t give a fuck. They sold these chips to people in Japan and Malaysia, and they sell them to the Chinese. Nvidia still gets their money.
Witness the complete failure of US export controls on advanced computer chips. Not surprising, given these chips are small and easy to smuggle, but still funny to see the Financial Times admitting that US efforts to hobble China are not working in the slightest.
The cost of renting cloud services using Nvidia’s leading artificial intelligence chips is lower in China than in the US, a sign that the advanced processors are easily reaching the Chinese market despite Washington’s export restrictions.
Four small-scale Chinese cloud providers charge local tech groups roughly $6 an hour to use a server with eight Nvidia A100 processors in a base configuration, companies and customers told the Financial Times. Small cloud vendors in the US charge about $10 an hour for the same set-up.
The low prices, according to people in the AI and cloud industry, are an indication of plentiful supply of Nvidia chips in China and the circumvention of US measures designed to prevent access to cutting-edge technologies.

Fujimoto is a real one for dedicating a whole chapter to this shit. It’s been coming for a while now, the whole series has been building up to this moment, but god damn.
