- Lather: Mäurer and Wirtz - Tabac Original

It is an after dinner shave today. As usual, brought out Tabac for this Tuesday shave.
- Brush: West Coast Shaving Clear Smoke Burlwood 26 mm
- Razor: Timeless Titanium Slim
- Blade: Durablade Sharp Titanium (4)
- Lather: Barrister and Mann – 42
- Post Shave: Barrister and Mann – 42
A cold and rainy late spring day and I felt like reaching for some more Barrister and Mann. I’m getting a better appreciation for the Ti Slim. I used to think it was too aggressive, but I was just applying too much pressure since I’m used to heavier razors.
Hope your day is bright.

- Brush: AP Shave Co. - 24mm 2Bed Synthetic
- Razor: Baili BD179 TTO
- Blade: Super-Max Super Platinum (3)
- Lather: Barrister & Mann - Lavanille - Soap
- Post Shave: House of Mammoth - Santa Noir - Aftershave
- Post Shave: Eurfros - Dama Noche - Balm
Haven’t used this razor in a considerable amount of time. I think one side is more aggressive than the other. I got a nice shave, but the feel – neigh, the soul of this razor, doesn’t speak to me. Still, I’m going to use it for the next few days because I’m traveling.
Wow. You usually use a cart when you travel. Interesting.
I traveled by car this time. TSA did stop me at the end of my driveway, but I respectfully told them to fuck off.
Ahh. Well…at least you were polite about it. lol
And I know you’re wondering… I did not shit in a ditch.
Hey…I wasn’t gonna ask, but thanks for satisfying my curiosity.
- Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts 49ers Custom with 28mm B5 knot
- Razor: Muhle Rocca R94
- Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum
- Lather: Declaration Grooming - Fake Yellow Light
- Post Shave: House of Mammoth - Almond Leather
Rocca mowed through a little over 2 days’ worth of growth with no issue. Getting closer and closer to killing this tub of FYL and I’d very much like to do so before LG
Great setup!

- Brush: AP Shave Co. 26mm G5C
- Razor: Karve CB
- Blade: Astra SP (Green) (1)
- Lather: Barrister and Mann – Mûir(e) Wood
- Post Shave: Summer Break Soaps – Teacher’s Pet
- Post Shave: Noble Otter – Bare
Busted out the Karve to do a full 3 pass today. Was going to let my hair grow out this summer, but the inflammation and dandruff is already unbearable, so definitely shaving my head again tomorrow.
- Brush: Omega 11137 24mm
- Razor: Van der Hagen
- Blade: Gillette Platinum
- Lather: Wholly Kaw - Lav Sublime
- Post Shave: Nivea aftershave balm
First SOTD on Lemmy! On vacation and brought this VDH razor on accident, so it wasn’t the best shave.
- Lather: House of Mammoth - Shire Soap
- Brush: Zenith - MOAR BOAR
- Razor: Gillette - Slim Adjustable
- Blade: Gillette - Silver Blue
- Osma: Osma - Osma
- Splash: House of Mammoth - Shire
- Balm: Stirling Soap Co. - Unscented
- Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery - G20
I had a great shave yesterday with the Slim Adjustable, but today’s was awful. Yesterday I was impressed with how efficient it was on 9, today on both 7 and 9 I was left with quite a bit of discomfort. I was going to use this on my trip, but now I’m rethinking that.

3 passes. Bowl lather. Excellent shave.
I’m really enjoying 3-pass shaves again. Three quick passes takes only a little longer than two more deliberate passes and I enjoy the experience more.
Marilyn is stunning. Pun intended.
Marilyn is stunning.
Captivating, even.

- Brush: Semogue - Semogue Owners Club
- Razor: Razorock GameChanger .84p
- Blade: Gillette Nacet
- Lather: Blades Grim - Smolder
- Post Shave: Lucky Tiger Splash
Super happy to have the GC back. While Blades Grim as a company is questionable I still love the way this soap smells. It’s like toasted marshmallows, and it makes a good lather. This was an amazing shave. 10 of 10 would highly recommend.
I’ve never heard of Blades Grim. What makes the company questionable?
- Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - Scots Pine Sheep Soap
- Brush: Declaration B4 Vastness

Blade: Derby Premium (2)
-
Lather: Stirling - Vanilla Sandalwood

Post Shave: Stirling - Sandalwood splash

Fragrance: D.S. & Durga - Radio Bombay
Stirling and MOAR BOAR is such a great combination, I got an easy lather from this endless tub. I had a much better shave with the Rocca than I did last time, which confirms that the bad shave must have been a fluke. Good to know I’m not losing my touch.
I got assigned to an annoying workflow so I’m going to do the bare-ass minimum today

Jun 13, 2023 - Phantom of Kyiv
- Prep: Klar - Activated Charcoal - Face Soap
- Brush: Shore Shave Honey Jar 26mm Plisson Knot
- Razor: Blackland Razors Blackbird Ti
- Blade: Personna Lab Blue [13]
- Lather: Areffa Soap - Phantom of Kyiv - Soap
- Post Shave: Areffa Soap - Phantom of Kyiv - Aftershave
Phantom of Kyiv is a refreshing scent: woody with a citrus opening. Areffa has several soap bases, and this is in their beef tallow base. It was easy to work with and produced a slick, dense lather.
Rating: 4/5
Edit: I also wanted to point out the cool Made in Ukraine stamp in the soap.
Interesting soap, slava Ukrani! Thanks for sharing. And nice photo, what’d you use to take it?
Thanks! I’m using the camera on my phone and some post-processing tools.

I think it’s time to change this blade. No horrible tugging, but there’s also a minute roughness that I’m attributing to a dull blade.
I think it’s time to change this blade.
In the name of @sgrdddy@sub.wetshaving.social, don’t!
