I was flying home with a snow globe souvenir one day. TSA had to huddle with their team and a calculator to figure out the volume of a sphere on the spot. I don’t know if the volume ended up being under the limit or they just gave up.

They should’ve just thrown it out, just to be safe, letting it in without making sure is playing with fire, what if it was 1ml over the limit?!

Arbitrary and pointless rules are there for a reason!

They hate when you bring an empty bottle and fill it near the gate.

Source - on a plane right now.

If you fill it with hydrogen peroxide, then they’ll hate it. Otherwise no.

The bottle is fine, the water is the issue, I’ve carried my metal water bottle just fine, but the plastic water bottle they gave me on the plane I had to toss when I got off through customs
