As you have probably noticed, r/GlobalOffensive is still private in protest, due to Reddit’s recent API changes, which you can read more about in the link:

https://mashable.com/article/reddit-blackout-ceo-downplays-api-protest

Due to the lack of meaningful change, we will remain private for the time being. We will re-evaluate our stance on the 19th of June and will keep you updated in the relevant channels, as we go along with this extension.

If you wish to continue discussing CS in general you can join the Discord discord.gg/cs-2 or stay here on kbin.

Stop being disingenuous. We get it, you like reddit. To say that Kbin is an even worse alternative to reddit than discord is just completely laughable. I think the reason many people are ending up here is exactly because of its similarity to reddit. Most of the issues with kbin can be easily fixed as well.

Nope. I came up here due to the link advertised on the subreddit page.

Maybe. Time is a resource. There’s very big ‘can’ there.

I still try to figure out the appeal of kbin as a Fediverse front-end. I’m accessing this community though lemmy.world and not kbin.social because I can’t even figure out how to only display posts from my subscribed communities (or “magazines”) on the front page. On Lemmy I just click this:

On kbin.social I only have these buttons and it keeps showing random posts from weird places
