Norea
Norea was a daughter of Eve in Gnostic myths. When Noah didn’t let her board the ark, she burned it down and he had to re-build it. GWitch’s Norea attacking the school is a retelling of this.
The mythic Norea is later attacked and rescued by a figure named Eleleth. Eleleth -> Elan 5

Sophie is a ref to Sophia, a huge figure in Gnosticism, but I’m not sure how to interpret her Gundam counterpart.
Oh, nice catch on the connections there! I’ve always found it fascinating how often anime and other Japanese media take inspiration from Gnosticism and other weird aspects of Judeo-Christian myth. The Xeno RPGs (Gears/Saga/Blade) are some of my favorites because how much they also play around with these old ideas in a modern way.
@gundam I noticed this and was surprised that no one else seems to be talking about it. There’s a lot of references to other things in this show. I don’t know if there are other Gnostic inspired characters besides these three. I’m going to look into it more.
