i mean it’s not a bad design for a city, but when you get 20 anime a year that take place in a city designed like that it becomes a little grating
of course the REAL problem there is that we get 20 isekai a year that are at best mid and at worst actively harmful, and they’re all exactly the fucking same. if they were all good, creative, and interesting anime no one would care
anime isn’t for having “fun” with, it’s for 50 episode mecha anime about colonialist powers crushing all opposition or surrealist deconstructions of the gender binary that leave you emotionally devastated and eternally changed as a person

I want even MORE isekai. Another season of that parallel world pharmacist show would be great
